“And among mankind there are some who declare; “we believe in Allah and the Last Day”, yet they are not belidevers. They seek to deceive Allah and the believers but they deceive none save themselves, though they may not perceive. In their hearts is a disease and Allah has increased this disease; and they shall have a grievous penalty because they lie. And when it is said to them; Do not spread corruption in the land”, they reply; “We are but improving things”. But it is they who are spreading corruption, but they do not perceive it. “An when it is said to them; Believe as others believe “, they reply; Are we to believe as the fools believe?” It is they who are the fools; it is they who are the fools if they knew it. And when they meet those who believe, they say; “We believe”, but when they are alone with their devils, they declare; “We are really with you, we are only mocking those who believe. “

The hypocrites were spreading wrong actions to the peoples but they did not perceive that they were spreading the wrong actions because their hearts were in darkness and that they were not able to see the truth. Why the actions of the munafiqin were wrong actions? The actions of the munafiqin were wrong actions because the munafiqin like to lie. The hearts of the non-Muslims were in darkness but the hearts of the munafiqin were in greater darkness. Munafiqin regarded themselves as Muslims because they recited the Great Kalimah and they performed the prayers. No one knows what is inside the heart except Allah. Allah knows that the munafiqin were reciting the Great Kalimah not to please Allah but to please people and they lied to the Muslims and the believers. They lied so that the Muslims and the believers will believe that they were Muslims. What is the truth? Allah knows the truth and there is no one who knows the truth except Allah. Allah mentions in the above verse of Quran that the munafiqin were non-Muslims who become the enemies of the Muslims and the believers. Outwardly they look like Muslims but they were not Muslims. Allah does not accept the recitations of the Great Kalimah by hypocrites or the munafiqin. Eventhough the munafiqin may recite the Great Kalimah, perform the prayers and fast in the month of Ramadan but Allah does not accept their recitation of the Great Kalimah, prayers or fasting. Allah regards the munafiqin to be worse than the non-Muslims because they lie to Allah and the believers. Continue Reading »

In this verse of the Quran, Allah is describing the qualities of those who are not believers yet they claim to be believers. Who are these peoples whom Allah has referred to in this verse of Quran? Are they Muslims or non-Muslims? The persons whom Allah is referring in this verse of Quran are those who look like Muslims but actually non-Muslims and they are the enemies of the Muslims. Allah has created men and Allah wants men to believe in Allah and to obey all the orders of Allah. Among mankind there are some who believe in Allah and who obey all the orders of Allah and this group of mankind is known as the believers. Among mankind there is some who does not believe in Allah and who does not obey all the orders of Allah and they are known as the non-believers. However there are some from among the mankind who claim to be those who believe in Allah and the Last Day but they are actually non-Muslims and the enemies of the Muslims. Allah describes them in the above verse of the Quran as liars. Allah mentions in the above verse of the Quran that these liars are trying to deceive Allah and the believers but in fact these liars are deceiving themselves although they may not perceive that they are deceiving themselves. Allah describes them as; and among mankind there are some who declare; “we believe in Allah and the last Day”, yet they are not believers. They seek to deceive Allah and the believers but they deceive none save themselves, though they may not perceive. Continue Reading »

Men will not be able to obey all the orders of Allah in the way shown by the Prophet Muhammad saw and with the intention to please Allah, unless men have the love of Allah in their heart. This is known as having the true iman or faith towards Allah. Men will not be able to have the true iman or faith toward Allah unless men do the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evil after reciting the Great Kalimah. When Muslims are not inviting the non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah, it means the Muslims have committed the greatest evil. The greatest evil of the Muslims must be prevented by inviting the Muslims to do the work of inviting the non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah and to remind the Muslims about the Great Kalimah and to invite Muslims to do the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evils and to perform the five times daily prayers. It is obligatory (fardu ain) on all Muslim males and females to do the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evils and to perform the five times daily prayers. It is also obligatory on some Muslims males (fardu kifayah)to do the work of inviting the non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah and to invite the Muslims to do the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evil and to perform the five times daily prayers with congregation (Jemaah). Both of the orders are obligatory to all Muslims and the obligatory is fardu kifayah and fardu ain. In Islam, it is only these two orders of Allah, which are obligatory to Muslims, and the obligatory is both of fardu kifayah and fardu ain. Continue Reading »

“Alif, lam, Mim, Quran is without doubt a guide for those who are God-fearing (taqwa), who believe in the unseen, who are steadfast in prayer and who spend out of what we have given them. And who believe in that which has been revealed to you and in the Scriptures which were revealed before you and who are firmly believe in the existence of the Hereafter. They are the ones who are rightly guided by their Lord, and they are the ones who will be successful. As for the unbelievers, it is the same to them, whether you forewarn them or not, they will not have faith. Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing and over their eyes there is a veil and grievous punishment awaits them”

What is the first order of Allah which was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad saw and his companions in Mecca? The first order of Allah which was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad saw and the companions in Mecca is to recite the Great Kalimah and after reciting the Great Kalimah is to do the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evils. The first order of Allah is not to perform the five times daily prayers but to do the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evils. Since more than one thousand years ago, our Muslims scholars are teaching the Muslims that the first order of Allah after reciting the Great Kalimah is to perform the five times daily prayers. During the first ten years of the mission, our Prophet Muhammad saw and the companions were doing the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evils with sacrifices and steadfastness with no order to perform the five times daily prayers. It was only after they had done the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evils for about ten years, Allah gave them the second order which is to perform the five times daily prayers. The order to perform the five times daily prayers is actually the second order of Allah and not the first order of Allah. The order to perform the five times daily prayer was given to the Muslims after the Muslims had done the work of inviting mankind to good and forbidding mankind from evils in Mecca for about ten years. The first verse of Surah Al-Baqarah is the verse ‘Alif, lam, Mim. It is interesting to note that there is no one who knows about the exact meaning of the verse ‘Alif, lam, Mim except Allah. In my opinion the word Alif, lam, Mim must have a very significant meaning or otherwise Allah will not place the letters Alif lam, Mim as the first verse in the Surah of Al-Baqarah which is the first Surah of the Quran after the Surah Al-Fatihah. What is the significant of the verse Alif, lam, Mim? There is no one including our Prophet Muhammad saw who knows the meaning of the verse Alif, lam, Mim. The only one who knows exactly about the meaning of the verse Alif, lam, Mim is Allah. Other than Allah there is no one who knows about the meaning of the verse Alif, lam, Mim. Why our Prophet Muhammad saw did not know the meaning of the verse Alif, lam, Mim? Our Prophet Muhammad saw did not know the meaning of the verse Alif, lam, Mim simply because Allah did not reveal the meaning of the verse Alif, lam, Mim to him. Our Prophet Muhammad saw will only know the meaning of the verse of the Quran when the meaning is revealed to him. With this verse of Alif, lam, Mim it clearly shows that the Quran is not the words of Prophet Muhammad saw but the words of Allah which was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad saw.The work of our Prophet Muhammad saw was only to receive the words of Allah and to deliver the words of Allah to the entire mankind. Some of the unbelievers believe that the Quran is the words of our Prophet Muhammad saw while some of the unbelievers believe the Quran is the words of syaitan and they want to burn the Quran. Allah has created us because He wants us to love Him. Allah gives us many orders to be followed by us with the intention only to please Allah until Allah is pleased with us. Allah orders us to love Allah, those who are loved by Allah and to love all the other creations of Allah. Allah has never order us to hate anyone, any race or any religion. Who are the peoples who are loved by Allah? The peoples who are loved by Allah are those who obey all the orders of Allah with the intention only to please Allah until Allah is pleased. How would we know that Allah loves a person?  The peoples who are loved by Allah are those who have the quality of humbleness or tawa’dhu. Allah is Great. There is no one who is Great except Allah. A person who thinks that he or she is great is a person who is away from Allah and not loved by Allah. A person who is humble or tawa’dhu will have good characters. A person, through who, good come to other peoples is a good person. A person who always does good to other peoples, even to those who do evils to him or her is a good person. Good or bad comes only from Allah. Allah showers His blessing to the entire mankind through a man whom Allah has chosen to become the mean to spread His blessing to the entire mankind. The persons who are chosen to be the mean to spread the blessing of Allah to the entire mankind are known as the Prophets. Prophet Muhammad is one of the men who is chosen by Allah to become the mean for Allah to shower His blessing to the entire mankind and to the other creations of Allah. Allah has mentioned in the Quran with the approximate meaning; we have not sent you oh Muhammad except as a blessing to the entire mankind. What is mean by the words; a blessing to the entire mankind? The blessing to the entire mankind means is the correct lifestyle of the Prophet Muhammad saw, which when practiced by the entire men, will ensure men to have a life of blessing which is full of happiness in this world and the hereafter. With the permission of Allah in many of my previous articles, I have explained about the meaning of Sunnah. All the actions of our Prophet Muhammad saw are known as Sunnah. Sunnah is to explain the Quran. Quran and Sunnah are both from Allah. Quran is the words of Allah which expound the wishes of Allah and Sunnah is the actions of the Prophet Muhammad directed by Allah to explain all the actions which should be done by Muslims in order to fulfill the wishes of Allah. In other word, Sunnah is the actions of Prophet Muhammad saw to explain the Quran. Prophet Muhammad saw had left us the Quran and the Sunnah and whoever among the Muslims who follow the Quran and Sunnah, they will always be guided on the correct path. Hadis is the words of Prophet Muhammad saw which explain about Sunnah. Hadis could be a true Hadis or it could be a false Hadis but none of the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad saw is a false Sunnah. There are many Hadis which are false Hadis and Muslims should not be practicing on whatever mention in false Hadis. Quran was written during the times of Hazrat Abu Bakar only a few years after the demise of our Prophet Muhammad saw but Hadis was written about two hundred years after the demise of Prophet Muhammad saw. I think one good reason why they are so many false Hadis is because Allah did not promise to guard the sanctity of the Hadis as Allah has taken the responsibility to guard the sanctity of the Quran.
