What is the current medical treatment for schizophrenia? Drugs are often prescribed to schizophrenia in order to reduce the secretion of the brain chemicals and therefore to reduce the symptoms of schizophrenia. When the secretion of the brain chemicals is reduced, the symptoms which are experienced by schizophrenia will be automatically become reduced. The drugs cause the symptoms which are experienced by the patients to reduce but the acute inflammatory state of the brain tissues remain untreated. Nowadays, there are many persons who suffer from schizophrenia and who have not been diagnosed as schizophrenia but are moving freely in our society. On the other hand there are also persons who have been diagnosed as schizophrenia and who had been prescribed with medications to reduce the symptoms of schizophrenia but are not taking the medications and are also moving freely in our society. When schizophrenias are moving freely in our society, they are posing a great danger to our society. (more…)

HUMAN MASSACRE IN CONNECTICUT USA – PART 1

What was the reason behind the recent incident of human massacre at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, United States of America? Such incident that happened in Connecticut has happened many times before in the United States of America. However such massacre related with mentally disable persons seems to take place more often in the United State of America than any other parts of the world. Why should it happen more often in America and not in any other parts of the world? What would be the actions of President Barrack Obama to prevent such incident? He has said with such an affirmative tone, that such incidents would never happen again in the future in the United State of America. Would he be able to curtain such incidents or it is only a rhetoric speech of a politician? Is there any reason for such incidents continue to recur in America but not in other parts of the world? Whatever happens there must be a reason and nothing would happen in this world without a reason. Once we know the reason then only we would be able to find solutions to the problems. As the most advanced nation in the world, the United States of America should be able to solve this problem of human massacre which involve mentally disable persons. There are many renowned psychiatrists in the America and they should be working hard to find new medicines and new treatments which are able to cure mentally disable patients. In case in the near future we still could not find the medicines to cure mentally disable patients, I think the problem of human massacre which involved mentally disabled persons in America or in other parts of the world would never be solved. PENEMUAN HEBAT ABAD 21- SCHIZOPHRENIA ATAU GANGGUAN MENTAL SEMBUH DENGAN RAWATAN KAEDAH YANG DITEMUI OLEH PROF DR NASOHA SAABIN

Assalamualaykum prof,
Pertama sekali saya nak perkenalkan diri saya. Nama saya Muhammad Taqiuddin b. Khamdani. Saya tinggal di Kg Olak lempit, Banting, Selangor. Saya rasa prof mungkin mengenali saya kerana saya pernah mengambil rawatan dengan prof baru-baru ini. Saya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih atas rawatan prof beri kepada saya. Alhamdulillah, saya rasa semakin baik.
Rupa-rupanya nak dekat periksa masa tu la dia datang terus saya x blh jawab periksa. Pada masa kena kali nilah bapa saya bawa bertemu doktor pakar di HKL kerana terbaca artikel tentang skizofrenia. Lepas saya fail dalam SPM ayah saya suruh ambil ulangan. Saya pun belajar lagi tapi kali saya ambil ubat. Tapi betul2 lepas saya ambil periksa saya relapse balik. Nasib baik lepas periksa. Hasilnya saya dapat keputusan yg agak baik jugak iaitu 3A4B1C1D. Itupun saya x belajar betul2 sebab saya masuk kelas tahfiz sepenuh masa walaupun guru saya melarang saya tetap dengan minat saya iaitu menghafal quran. Saya ambil SPM ulangan pd 2007. Saya rasa prof pun tau tempat tu. markaz tabligh. Sebelum saya masuk saya disyaratkan keluar 40 hari.
Masa tu saya relapse. Yg teruknya saya kene time kluar 40 hari.

Dr T S SURENDRAN ON STRABISMUS~JULING
Posted in Education, Health, Optometry on December 8, 2011 | 2 Comments »
In Malaysia we may find some people with a squint eyes or strabismus. What is strabismus or squint eye? In Bahasa Malaysia strabismus or squint is call as mata juling.A person is said to have a squint eye when one of the two eyes is not directing to the same point as the other eye. In other word there is no similar focus point for both eyes. Because there is no similar focus point, the images receive by both of the eyes cannot be superimpose in the brain. Instead of the brain receiving the same images of the same objects and to be superimposed in the brain, the brain is now receiving two images of the different object which cannot be superimpose by the brain. In eyes with squint or strabismus, the brain is receiving two images of the different object which cannot be superimposed. When our brain cannot superimpose the two images view by the two eyes, our brain will take the drastic action of suppressing one of the images. Usually our brain wills supressed the retinal image of the lower quality. Our brain need to have two retinal images of the same object to be superimposed in order to have depth perception. Without two retinal images of the same object being superimpose on top of each other, no depth perception is possible. In other words, a person who has a squint or strabismus will not have a depth perception. A person with a squint may be able to see with a 6/6 vision but without any depth perception. What is the advantage of having a depth perception? With a depth perception a person is able to judge the size of an object more accurately. A driver with no depth perception will not be able to judge how far, he is driving from the car in front of him. A surgeon with no depth perception will not be able to accurately judge how far the tissues are from him. In other words, a person with a squint or strabismus will not have a depth perception and they will not become a good driver, pilot or a surgeon. (more…)

RUKUN ISLAM KETIGA- FASTING IN THE MONTH OF RAMADHAN
Posted in Health, Religion on August 17, 2011 | Leave a Comment »
Allah has given the order of fasting to the Muslims in the month of Ramadhan. It is the third Pillar of Islam. The first Pillar of Islam which is the first order of Allah involves the sacrifice body, mind and soul. When we have to do the work of inviting the non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah and the work of reminding the Muslims about the Great Kalimah we need to use not only the whole body, but also our soul and mind. We also need to sacrifice our time as well as our wealth and health in doing the work of Dakwah. The work of Dakwah CLICK is the work to fulfil the right of the first Pillar of Islam which is reciting the Great Kalimah, I bear witness there is no God except Allah and I bear witness Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah. The work that fulfils the right of reciting the Great Kalimah is so demanding of men’s time, wealth and health and because of that only very few from among the peoples who have recited the Great Kalimah are willing to do it. When the love of worldly thing has entered a person heart, the first order of Allah, which is to fulfil the right of the first Pillar of Islam, reciting the Great Kalimah will be disobeyed by that person. Because the first order of Allah is so demanding of men’s time, health and wealth thus it is the first order of Allah to be disobeyed by Muslims and disappeared from this world. This first order of Allah had disappeared from the life of Muslims when the loves of worldly thing have entered the hearts of Muslims. (more…)
OBESITY AMONG SCHOOL CHILDREN – CAUSES AND TREATMENT
Posted in Education, Health on May 14, 2011 | 3 Comments »
Obesity among school children is attracting the attention of the Health Ministry of Malaysia and the Minister of Health issued a rules to all school canteens all over the country that nasi lemak cannot be sold to school children. The school canteen operators argue, if they cannot sell nasi lemak, what should they sell to the school children? Nasi lemak has been the traditional breakfast for the Malays for centuries. Malays used to take rice cook with coconut milk which is known as nasi lemak with sambal of dried small fish known as ikan bilis as the main food for breakfast. Malays used to be farmers or fishermen and they need more carbohydrate in order to provide them the energy to do work. Nasi lemak provides the carbohydrate that the farmers and the fishermen need. Now not many Malays are farmers or fishermen. Most Malays are now working as government servants, professionals, and businessmen. They do not need that much carbohydrate as the farmers and fishermen needs. All children go to school but they do not need much carbohydrate as they do not use that much energy to do work. The habits of eating rice cook in coconut milk in the early morning as breakfast continue throughout the generations. It passes on from generation to generation and the habit of eating nasi lemak dies hard. Can we stop our children from eating nasi lemak at school by giving the rules that canteen operator cannot sell nasi lemak? Our children are used to eat nasi lemak and if they cannot buy nasi lemak from the school canteen, our children will buy nasi lemak from stalls outside the school. Can we stop the stall outside the school from selling nasi lemak? The government cannot stop people from eating nasi lemak and neither the government can stop people from selling nasi lemak. Rules to stop the school canteen operator from selling nasi lemak will not solve the problems of obesity among our children. The Health Ministry is pointing to only the habit of eating nasi lemak as the cause of obesity. What about the habit of eating mee or noodles? Rice and noodles are all carbohydrate and when taken in large quantity or more than what that person needs they will be converted into fat and stored in the body leading to obesity.
ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION ~ MATI PUCUK
Posted in Health, True Fact on May 9, 2011 | 4 Comments »
Ismail is only a hypothetical name (bukan nama sebenar) of a person who has the disease of the male genital organ, who came to me about a year ago, complaining of not having sensation during ejaculation. He has no problem with erection of the genital organ but during ejaculation he lost the sexual sensation that makes sexual intercourse a pleasant experience. He said to me that he did not have the pleasure whenever he had sexual intercourse with his wife. When I examined his eyes CLICK, I noticed that the problem of Ismail is not with the testicles but with the nerves innervating the glands. Testicles are males’ sexual glands which upon being excited by the brain will release the hormones testosterone into the blood. Once the hormones testosterone released into the blood, it causes the expansion of the capillaries in the penis. Once the blood capillaries in the penis are expanded, more blood will flow into the penis and the sudden increase in blood volumes causes the penis to erect. When the amount of testosterone is not sufficient in the blood or not at all, many men failed to have penis erection. In Malay culture the condition is known as mati pucuk. Mati pucuk is sexual disorders most men suffered. This sexual disorder is most fearful by most men but few among men are brave enough to consult a doctor and have treatment. Currently there is the drug named Viagra which can be used by men who suffered from poor penis erection and in traditional Malay medicines, there is the herb known as tongkat Ali which can help men to have erection. Without having erection of the penis, sexual relationship between men and women are meaningless. Many Malay men think that this medical disorder can be treated simply by having a massage or worst still some Malay think that this disorder can be treated by visiting the bomoh because some Malay believe that the disorders is due to the work of evil jin or men.
